New availability schedule for BIR’s Online Registration and Update System (ORUS)
BIR RMC 153-2022
The Bureau of Internal Revenue announces a new implementation schedule for their Online Registration and Update System.
The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) provides a new schedule displaying its Online Registration and Update System (ORUS) availability period. The new timeline was implemented in the bureau’s Revenue Memorandum Circular 153-2022, released on December 12, 2022. BIR clarifies that ORUS is accessible through BIR’s website (https://www.bir.gov.ph/) under the eServices icon or using the URL: https://orus.bir.gov.ph.
The ORUS is a web-based system created to give taxpayers an alternative facility that can conveniently handle all the end-to-end registration processing for BIR. Its features allow users to complete various registration requirements online. These features, their region availability, and their implementation date are catalogued in the following schedule:
The RMC (Revenue Memorandum Circular) notes that all taxpayers covered by their respective RDOs must enroll or create an ORUS account if they want to use the bureau’s online registration facility. Taxpayers must also submit their valid permanent email address to create or enroll for an ORUS account. This address is mandatory since it will be updated.
