All Regular and Special Non-working Holidays in 2024

Malacañang releases all regular and special non-working holidays in the Philippines for 2024.

The complete list of all Regular and Special Non-working Holidays for 2024 was released by the Malacañang Palace last October 13, 2023. The update was announced through Proclamation No. 368, signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin.

The proclamation made some changes to the holiday list, these included removing the EDSA People Power Revolution Anniversary but adding the Chinese New Year and Christmas Eve as Special Non-working Holidays. 

The proclamation states that Regular and Special Non-working Holidays for 2024 are as follows:

Additionally, the palace has confirmed the Eid'l Fitr national holiday date on April 10, 2024, through Proclamation No. 514, s. 2024

"In order to bring the religious and cultural significance of the Eid'l Fitr to the fore of national consciousness, and to allow the Filipino nation to join their Muslim brothers and sisters in peace and harmony in the observance and celebration of Eid'l Fitr, it is necessary to declare Wednesday, 10 April 2024, a regular holiday throughout the country" states the proclamation. 

Eid’l Adha is still sated to be issued after the approximate dates of said holidays have been determined following the Islamic calendar (Hijira), or the Lunar Calendar, or through the Islamic National Commission. The method used will be based on whichever one is more convenient.

To this end, the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos shall recommend to the Office of the President the actual dates on which these holidays shall respectively fall," states the proclamation.
